I now have an empty stable, and would like to put a pulley system up in their to hang wet rugs up on. The stable has a roof with an apex on the middle (ie not flat roof) and so has beams that run from side to side.

I would really like to have the rugs so they are hung from the front and back beams, so I can hang two rugs up so they are both front to back in the stable, so they both have equal chance of drying

I have 2 tie rings in place on the front wall I was thinking of using to fix it to, but would like some help with how to go about this

Thankies to anyone who can a) decipher this post and b) give any help :) :)

Strong rope, something like that blue nylon stuff and a drain pipe. Don't know what they are called but you know the screw hook things in the back of pictures that you put the string through, you can get mega big ones of those, screw those in where ever i.e ceiling. Thread the rope through the drain pipe and have another hook at waist height to wrap the rope round so it stays secure then you can pull it up or lower it. Hope that makes sense

I use a cheap nylon washing line from tesco. Ive got it threaded through tie rings which are fixed high up on the walls of my spare stable and tied off at the end to a bracket. Ive got 2 rugs on each length and it works fine. Looks like a chinese laundry though :)
