I have a rising 4yo RID who will be coming back into work over the next few weeks. He currently has a Jeffries full size (wembley) bridle with a hunter cavesson. Last year when I was backing him, the cavesson was always on the last hole, and I am dubious about the chances of it fitting him this year! He is not long in the face, just very deep! I am going to try it on him again this week and see what it's like. Would you buy another noseband and carry on with the bridle, or are there any makes which have a more generous fitting?
