The current bowls need to go, the stand has now completely lost its 'anti-slip' properties, and unfortunately when the ferrets come out to play, the water is absolutely everywhere, as apparently its great fun to squish yourself under or behind the stand and tip over the whole lot and watch the humans squeal as they step into the massive puddle that wasn't there 20 seconds ago
SO i am now on the look out for new bowls, that both look nice in the kitchen, as well as being tip proof and as anti slip as possible.
I have found these, and i quite like the look of them, plus the fact that you can put sand/stones inside to make them heavier and harder to move about, but just wanted to hear opinions on them if anyone has them? Or any recommendations of ferret proof, nice looking dog bowls?? They're for a mini poodle, but the ferrets need to be able to reach the water without having to hop onto the stand too.
What do you all think?

Any ideas??

Spaniel bowls are a style - cone shaped so the ears fall outside the bowl instead of into the water.
The Mason Cash ones are stoneware (beige) but you can get them in stainless steel as well as in various grades of plastic.

I highly recommend the Mason Cash ones I've got them for my long eared basset who will tip other bowls over given the chance but can't do it with these :) Although amazingly they are cheaper in Pets At Home than online.

Thanks everyone! I shall see if i can get one of these, plus one of the trays so that they can't shove the bowl to splash the water out.
They are a pita!!!! :D

I usually prefer ordinary water bowls, but if it needs to be ferret safe and they like playing with water, how about a water fountain?

I did a Google image search, and found e.g. Drinkwell 360 Stainless Steel Pet Fountain

Ooooh, that's fancy, but i'm afraid they may want to sit in the fountain and clog it up with fur :) Thank you for all your help everyone! I think i'm going to go for the anti tip ones, and get a tray for the bowls to sit on, that is coated in rubber underneath so the ferrets can't slide it and splash the water out, it should look smart and be easy to clean, but hopefully stop the little monsters from emptying the contents of the bowls all over the kitchen floor :D
