Help with coat condition

Does anyone feed linseed and if so does this help with coat condition? I have been feeding Baileys Outshine which gave my girls a fantastic gleam, but after stopping it due to cost they have lost their shine. Someone has suggested cooked linseed in small amounts as a much cheaper alternative-what do you think or is there anything else out there that will bring the shine back.

Feedmark's Equidermis Plus has been recommended to me although not actually bought any yet. Any new stuff from them is half price at the mo. I am just trying to get my head around all the supplements my horse is getting and whether she actually needs them all

I seem to have created an addicition to them. I already use their benefit advance and steady up.

Cooked linseed is good. I must say at the moment I am using maize (corn) oil with good results. FB has 45ml in each feed and MoM 15ml (she's on trial, I know from previous experience that FB has no problems with it). It also helps me keep the grain feed down as it provides energy without carbohydrate.

I was told linseed oil, either cooked or ready to add liquid form will produce a wonderful coat.

Absolutely. I feed a mugful a day to my TB X and his coat this year is fabulous. I feed it mainly for sweetitch but I've noticed many other benefits and I can't believe how dapply he looks.

linseed oil or soya oil that you can buy from most supermarkets for like £3 a bottle it works fab or you can buy pure soya that they use to fatten turkeys relativley cheaply from a lot of feed merchants we use it with no problems and all our horseys look fab and really shiny

Thank you everyone, I will give it a try as it's much cheaper than the outshine. The other option is the Feedmark product mentioned but I will see how the linseed goes first.
