I use it to basically agree with and because I think it is a well-written post.

I also like posts of members that have taken time to respond to something I’ve posted if it doesn’t warrant a direct reply. Sometimes my likes don’t stick which is annoying as I swear I’ve liked it but it’s not there next time I read the thread.

Perhaps you have pressed the like button twice, which has unliked the post accidentally. I've done this.

I think I would prefer no like button. I've become more aware of when I do and don't press it. I don't like that. From now on, I'm not giving any likes to anyone and i'm going to pretend it isn't there. Maybe that will work.

Gosh! Who knew? This thread has certainly broadened my HHO education, and a huge thank you to all contributors.
