I live in Luxembourg but we work with the German licensing system for competing and I can't speak German or read it. Does anyone have experience for getting an LK6? What does it entail?

I think its the same as the first reitabzeichen but there is a fairly new system now in Germany so I am not totally sure. If its the first basic level you would have a basic theory exam and a practical horsecare so grooming picking out feet and saddling knowing the tack etc. then you would ride an e level dressage test and jump an e level course so probably prelim dressage and small course of 6 or so fences but you may be asked to do something like fences 1-3 then canter a circle before doing fences 4-6. you would salute the judge before starting the course the same as you would at a show. can you ask what level reitabzeichen it now relates to and then it is easier to help

I believe it's 5. Do you know if there's any books that have the theory info in them? I speak very little German so I'm more concerned about the theory.

there are courses in english for the reitabzeichen, so it may be worth either going on one or contacting them and explaining that your country uses the german system but that you cannot find any books in english so do they have any literature you could buy. courses are http://wrfs.online/index.php?menup=...ng=de&yearFilter=2017&searchFilter=englischer and if you want an idea the fn have a video that gives an overview of the riding and handling levels needed here https://www.pferd-aktuell.de/reitabzeichen/abzeichen-im-ueberblick/reitabzeichen-5/reitabzeichen-5
