I took my 3.5tonne horse box to weigh bridge too weigh the ramp and the ramp was coming in at just under 200lb (90kg) I ordered some springs from jsw horsetrailer supplies which was 3cwt upto capability of 300lb (150kg) the woman said they would do the job ive fitted them and on the least bit of tension couldn't get ramp to come down backed tension to nearly off where the springs are quite loose, we then had to pull ramp down where it snapped the weld on the bracket that my uncle made would anybody have any advice or tips on what im doing wrong or is it just simple weld on brackets wasn't strong enough

any help would be great as im banging my head against the wall these springs wasn't cheap and they non returnable

Can't offer advice other than to say from personal experience JSW do seem to know what they are doing and Emma is very knowledgable and really helpful.
