HI, new to this forum so please let me know if I am doing something wrong.

I have an old (used in the 80's)in good condition english saddle. The metal name plate is worn but probably said Made in England for .... But on the girth buckle cover it is clearly stamped Spring tree Made in England. No name on the rivets. I would attach a picture but I don't quite know how! Any thoughts? It is very comfortable saddle fit my Welsh well.

Thanks in advance

Spring tree is stamped on a huge proportion of Walsall made saddles. Even with a photo it's very unlikely anyone could help unless here is a clear logo, nailhead, plaque etc. To post a photo you'll see in the middle above where you type is actually a photo icon, you'll need a low res version as you can't upload large files, or you can post a link to a photo hosted online such as on imgur.

There are and have been so many small workshops that usually an older saddle without clear branding is very hard to identify. If it's in order to try and value it for sale it will make little difference and it won't be worth much I'm afraid and if it's to order another then you're gathering that's unlikely too.

If you can post clear in focus photos we can have a look :)

That is good information, thank you! Being of a similar vintage to the saddle means adding a pict is proving to be difficult. I will keep trying but I will look that up

Yes, definitely need a photo if possible. 😊

If you can attach one, I'll ask my DH to see if he recognises it.
