I was wandering who is the best to go with. Who is a good price and easy to deal with. I have three horses too! Do I go for different companies or try just one. The main thing for me is the vet bills are covered. I have one 6 year old competition horse, two year old and my old 16 year old horses who is pretty much a pet now.

I work for an insurance company so I can't advise you who to go with. You could have a chat with your vet though and see who they have found easiest to deal with, which companies pay out well etc. Also, make sure you read all the small print as all policies are different. For example, some companies put a limit (eg. £500) on how much they will pay out for "complementary therapies" which includes things like acupuncture and remedial shoeing - which can be a bit of a pain if this is the one thing that your horse needs. Also I believe some cover you for your vet fees amount (usually around £5k) per condition, for others it is per incident - which means if you have a set of symptoms as one incident that turn out to be down to more than one condition, eg ulcers and also a low grade lameness, they would put them together under one claim and only pay out £5k against them both.
