My boyfriend has asked me to write a Christmas list already!!! Yikes
As I have just got back into riding again, my current gear has seen better days, so I am going to ask for mainly riding clobber. I am *currently sharing a horse at the mo and I have treated myself to a new riding hat, but I think could do with some new jodphur boots or possibly riding boots, what foot ware do you guys ride in during winter? I would also like a nice jacket - I have a nice Barbour but it doesn't have a hood! Can you guys recommend me any nice makes of boots and jackets as I have had a quick look on the web and haven't seen anything I like.*

I am a great fan of Mountain Horse, for my boots and for my winter jackets, they are not the cheapest of makes but I find they are worth the money as they last for years. I have the MH johd boots but for winter I have the rimfrost ones that are nice and warm clean up well which you can also ride in. I get most of this stuff from Equestrian Clearance where they tend to be alot cheaper than others. Other people will give you differebt ideas but I love MH. Happy Xmas lol

Santa bought me some Ariat Grasmere boots last year and I can honestly say I never had cold feet once.
Winter riding coat is a Mountain Horse jacket which closely resembles a duvet with arms. Lots of people on here last winter recommend ski jackets, bought from places like TK Maxx.
Ooh add some Heat Holder socks to your list, they're amazing.

i got my first pair or Muck Boots for christmas last year, love them! they are so warm, i didnt have cold feet at all, and only had to wear 1 pair of socks compared to 4 pairs with my old, cheap boots :)
i have the Tyne version so i can ride in them too if i cant be bothered to change :)
