problem is i am having to bring in my 5year old an awful lot- sometimes 14hrs a day due to yard not having enough horses in field and other owners keeping theirs in due to laminitis prevention etc. hopefully soon to be rectified with new liveries. (she cant be left out on her own).
yesterday she has decided to start chewing the wood in her stable! i dont want this to become a major problem.
she has likit hanging balls, roll around balls, salt licks.
what else can i try??
thanks in advance x

you can get this stuff from a saddlery that tastes gross lol, not sure what its called. My 5 year old used to be the same, at my yard they were only allowed out 1 hour a day at one point in the winter!

Can you try treats hidden around the stable, Apple bobbing (though keep an eye on this initially as my horse learnt to just down the water then eat the apples)! Swedes can keep them occupied for a while. Can any one nip in and walk her out for 10 mins now and then to break it up a bit? Also try filling haynets in small holed haynets one inside the other to try and make it last as long as . Or get a pony as a companion!!
