We have just bought a new ponio and her passport was issued by Anglo European Studbook. I have tried phoning the contact number on the website for and there was no answer, so tried the phone number in the passport (which is different).

I got an answer on this number but the person answering the phone answered saying they were from Breeders Elite and that Anglo European were still in operation but at a different number.

She did say that they can change the passport over and gave me their address, however it is a PO Box.

Does anyone know whether this is legitimate or not, as I am reluctant to send passport and cheque to an unknown company. Also as anyone else had trouble contacting the AES ?

Thanks

Phone up DEFRA to find out if they are still recognised by them as Passport issuers and what there full contact details are or failing that phone the British Horse Society.

I had the same problem, I tried to call and e-mail to clarify how to change the name/ownership as I don't have a cheque book I was not trying to query if I could do a bacs transfer however I still haven't managed to contact so it still hasn't been done. (Not ideal)! So il be watching this thread - sorry I'm no help!

Google is your friend, here ;)

I'm not sure if those are the numbers you tried? If no joy on the phone, try emailing them. That's what I did with last change of ownership, had everything confirmed via email, and had the changed passport back in my hand 2 days after sending off.

This was the one I tried, unfortunately they didn't answer. However as they say try, try again and this time I was successful.

Apparently there has been some sort of split and the AES are now operating from a new address and some of the former management have set up as Breeders Elite (or at least that was what was said)

Just need to send it off now, and start enjoying new horsey !

Thank you to all that responded.

Hello - I need to do this. So did you end up getting a response from phone or email? And what was the cost as the website is hopeless!

Thank you !
