I have a 6yo 16.1hh warmblood mare with decent breeding.
I have neve competed and she is un affiliated, when I enter shows at low level (give us both confidence) do I just make up a show name? Do I have to register it?( if so where?)
Will she have her own name already? Passport name is Georgia |X ,
I am completely new to showing horses so have no idea what classes to go for. I would like to do a few in hand shows until she is used to the atmosphere of show grounds, and when moving onto ridden I am not sure of what classes she would be eligible for.
Please could anyone give me any advice on :
tack to wear for showing and ridden classes,
what classes we could do,
what i should be wearing,
any tips for doing a good test /individual show,
and show name stuff etc.

I have a vsd type brown leather saddle, And she wears a loose ring snaffle so no double bridles etc.
Any info/advice would be really appreciated!

If you post some pictures, we can have a look at what classes would be suitable. At local shows you can call your horse whatever you like and no you do not have to register to enter a local show.

A nice hacking jacket with velvet collar and velvet hat to match this collar is a good starting point. Hairnet, cream jods, black long boots, gloves and a smile....

Firstly you need to establish what 'type' your horse is then dress it accordingly. If you are able to upload a pic Im sure HHOers would be able to help decide what she is....that & I like to see other peoples horses :D:D................

While I am figuring out how to upload...
She is a bright bay with dapples on her neck and across her tummy when she has her full summer coat, a very fine type for a warmblood, she hasn't been broken for long so needs muscle etc still, (so if using quarter markers, what shapes would you recommend?)
Wil l post some pics soon as I know how and can :)
