Can anyone suggest why my clipper blades aren't working. I have the Moser Avalon clippers but the blades keep jamming. I phoned the people I bought them from for advice but I still can't get them to work. So, before I send them back can anyone else help. The snap-on blades are supposed to be idiot proof! All you seem to have to do is pull the metal 'tab' back and attach the blade. I have tried doing this when they are turned un as advised but they still don't work properly. The blades doesn't look as though it is far enough in but I can't see what else to do. Feeling totally stupid.........

slide the blade on, fold down then tap sharply with the flat of your hand on the base of the clippers..they will then click into place..

I had this problem at first. Sometimes they go on perfect, sometimes not. I try first in the conventional way, switch on, straight away if they arent right you will know as they are noisy. Switch off, you will notice the blade would come off without undoing the clip if they arent on right. Dont take them off this way though as its a bugger to get the clip thingy up again without the blades on. Sometimes just sort of wiggling them a bit whilst in position does the trick, they click into position. Wahl told me its when it isnt lined up properly, hence turning the machine on. I also try putting the blade on, drop it into position and push the blade slightly as if trying to push it off, suppose much like tapping it on the back off your hand really. It often clicks in position straight away. Dont give up, they really are good quiet clippers.
Good luck.

Thanks for the replies. I will have another go tonight before phoning the people I bought them from again. I am going to ask them to explain to me AGAIN with the clippers in front of me. It all looks so simple in the book!

I have the same clippers too and its dead easy once you've got the white plastic thingy lined up with the gap on the clipper blades!

I will try to describe but I don't have the clippers in front of me right now.

When you take the blades off you will see on the clippers a small white (mine is white but may be a different colour) plastic thing that slots into the snap on blades which drives the two cutting blades back and forth. On the blades themselves you will see a small gap where this plastic thing should sit into. You have to make sure that the gap in the blades is lined up with the little pastic thingy and they will snap together easy as anything!

The little plastic thingy stops wherever you stop the blades - NOT always in the middle so you have to slide the smaller blade along on your blades to get it to line up before attempting to snap them on.

Hope this makes sense but I had a lot of trouble as well until I realised what the problem was!
