our pony has started to be really difficult, my little girl gets on him and he wont move, this is a new thing he has started doing.
he has started doing in the last two weeks, before this he would go round the school fine on his own, in walk, trot and canter, she had also started jumping him.
now he wont move unless he is on the lead.
his saddle and back are all fine

any ideas or help would be great
thanks

if you have 100% ruled out pain and tack etc, are we talking planting and no response or just a reluctance to move forward. how old is pony, how old is daughter? are they gen suited age/height/experiance etc?

The pony hasn't put on weight in the last two weeks has he? My first thought was the onset of laminitis.
How long has your child been riding the pony and how long have you had it?

If there's no health/pain issue...

How long have you had pony for? Just wondering as many new-ish ponies behave well at the beginning, but start testing you after a few weeks if not months...
