Hi Vicki

Turners Hall Farm have spaces, they are at Mackrye End off the Wheathampstead Road opposite Cherry Tree Lane. You can also try Gus ad Jess Murchie, they are off Lower Luton Road at the Luton end. I'm not sure if their menage is finished and don't know if it will be floodlit but they have lovely hacking and xc jumps on the farm (however they are friends with your YO).

My reasons for being annoyed are as follows -

i have been on yard for two years - pay for 4 horses livery and things have slowly gone down hill.

1) my light went in my stable in OCTOBER last year. Told yo husband who does all the jobs and he said he would do it. (its a strip light and its rediculousy high in the ceiling otherwise i would of done it myself)
anyway it is now FEBRUARY and i have done all winter without a light in that stable despite me asking about it every week.

2) i have a corner of a barn which is unsecure for all my rugs/ feed and i really dont have enough room. ( yet other liveries have arrived after me and have tack rooms??)

so today yo asks for my livery that i have held back for the stable with no light - i tell her about the light and she says i should of tol her husband! i told her he has known since October and has done nothing about it.
Due to my lack of a tack room i have a white box outside my stable containing grooming kit/ first aid kit which today she asks me to move - to where i ask her? again no constructive answer from her.

To go with this we have no medical field on the yard - yet two paticular liveries have their own TWO fields and they rest one at a time - yet you are not allowed to use half of their paddock if your horse is injured???

no other field is rested so why theirs??

and then the big one -
2 weeks ago my mum had an accident turning out one of my horses - why???
because one of their idiot friends decided to fire at a pigeon ON TOP OF HIS FLIPPING STABLE just as my mum was bringing him out the door.
he spooked and knocked her over and then trod on her. he is 17hh and caused my mum quite some damage.

NO APOLOGY AT ALL from shooter or yard owner and when i did my nut about how dangerous it was ( and illegal as it was 10 yards from the road) her answer was
"oh well sometimes they just get trigger happy"

is she having a laugh???

am i right to be annoyed?

annoyed??? chuck i'm down right disgusted on your behalf. yard I was on was exactly the same! a certain family who had two so called show jumpers were given a field to themselves while I had to put my show ponies out in a herd. needless to say injuries did occur and I lost a whole show season and very nearly a pony!
At one point I had 4 on the go compared to the 2 vips but was still treated like dirt.

it soon adds up and at the end of the day you will get to the point where you dont want to go up there and its your ponios that suffer too when mum aint happy. i used to go up get done and go!!!
when i moved to another yard-much better suited for show peeps my ponios attitudes changed to as they were happier!

There are a few houghton regis/Todington way....

Chalgrave manor... (Really nice yard, but quite busy)
Griffin Farm...
And another one right next to Chalgrave that I cannot for the life of me remember the name of......

Hi Vicky, your blood is not the only blood boiling, your chat line is full of lies and half facts and so I will help you on your way to a new yard by giving you notice to quit. you are paid up till the 8th of March and I hope you find a new yard before then because you are out of mine. You can take your mess and your wrecked car which has been parked in the yard for over six months and good riddance.
Anyone taking you on should know how untidy you are, how high maintenance and how you have upset just about every other client of mine.
I can't even begin to give the true story on those conversations but it saddens me to come down to your level.
I have 80 horses between the two yards and a waiting list as long as my arm, if we were so bad would that be so?
Goodbye and goodluck!
