What riding hats do you have ? Thinking of investing in a new one for my birthday !!! sad I know !! was looking at Champion Ventair although on the expensive side will pay it.

Is it a case of you get what you pay for with hats ??

Also, anyone heard of

JTE RIDING HAT or
TROXEL LEGACY GOLD

these are my local shops website Local tack shop , so assume they will do them in store, what i like is the price is a little cheaper !!! lol

been so long since i bought one !!
 
I have a JTE skull cap and a JTE velvet because they are the best fir I have found for me.

They are to the right standard and are very comfortable.
 
You need to go and try some different makes on as they all, like our heads, vary in shape, so, some makes will fit you better than others! I currently have a JTE Skull and JTE Classic (similar to GPA 'showjumper' style hat), and Charles Owen Velvet riding hat with leather harness, and I would recommend all of them! The JTE hats are a bit cheaper than Charles Owen and Champion, but they still have the various standards and Kitemarks required by all the associations.
 
Dublin Onyx, The lightest and most comfortable hat I have ever had, my head doesn't sweat at all

That said I don't think hats are something that you should really go for a brand on, more what fits your head best. I have a really hard time finding a hat that fits my mutant head comfortably and securely, thats far more important than the brand
