Have been asked by H&H for a high resolution picture which I need to attach to an email - haven't a clue what this means or how to attach it

hey res means a picture with lots of pixels per square inch. for example a pic with a 1.2 mill resolution is not as good quality, and will look fuzzy when compared to a pic taken on a 4.3 mill res camera.

What they want that for?

high res pictures are what you need for printing (e.g. the magazine?) - it will mean the file is quite large though to send by email - best to ask the editors for exact specs and instructions -

Hiya,

you need it to be a High Resolution picture.
Ie: a minimum of 220dpi (dots per inch)

Images for the Web are low-res at 72 DPI
Images for print are usually 300 DPI...but apx 220 should be fine.

Therefore, If you have a fairly large photograph, it can be optimised to the correct resolution for print.
