So most of you probably remember hunni the (most of the time) happy haffy x and well here is the problem:
Since i have had her she has been a golden horsey, only tried to kick once(my own fault won't go into it here) and she is always happy, since april to january she has been the best horse in the world, but now since the snow has came and i cant ride she has become a moody mare! nothing bad just putting her ears back quite abit and she squealed at me once and turned round as if to kick me but didn't she just walked off(after me smacking(not abusing before anyone asks !) her of course, naughty!) keep in mind when she was being worked most days she was the happiest horse in the world, but now i had to stop because of snow and now spring is drawing closer i think she may be coming into season? she knows who her mommy is(me lol) and always canters up to me, and is still loveable to me but just randomly goes moody, lol, another thing is my mum used to spoil her with treats all the time and i have now put a stop to it, would this affect her? hellp!

Can you not ride in the snow? Haflingers are the best horses for snow riding, put some studs on her shoes, get dressed up and off you go.
Her being moody could be from lack of work, have you reduced her food intake? perhaps she has too much energy.
I wish we were closer cos we could go out together. :D

Thanks :o My girl gets worked daily what ever the weather as she is a bit hot headed otherwise. Remember that they really don't need much hard food to survive on as it will just go to their heads. My girl gets plenty of good quality hay and a mineral/ salt block. I did endurance with her for a few years and she was amazing. What do you do with your girl?
