So I have two ponies already both around 13.2hh. Recently though Ive been riding other peoples 15-16hh horses and I feel so much more comfy on them. I find that my riding actually improves on a bigger horse. Since riding my ponies again I feel too big for them (even though people say I look fine). I don't want to sell them though as Ive always said theyre at a forever home but I cant help wanting a bigger horse. Im spending all my time now scouring horseforsale sites dreaming of owning the horses I find. Its gotten to a point now where Im a little bit fed up of riding my ponies. I know I am very lucky to own my own but its really frustrating me now!!

I always had ponies and rode ponies and decided I wanted a proper horse this time...he's meant to be 15.2 but he's 16.1!

Can you afford another? If yes, why not go for it? If not, remind yourself of why ponies are awesome- cheap, less far to fall etc.

I know of a couple of older mares in the Shropshire area who are being offered on free loan, one in particular is nice and very very sensible. I could put you in touch if you message me some contact details
