I am bringing my tb back into work I'm just introducing trot but he was practically unrideable today just very lively...

Has anyone had experience with calmers???
I'm sure when I got him I had him on magic for a while...

Just wanting a bit of advice thanks

Calmers are a money making venture IMO.

Best just to lunge and build up gradually.

some calmers do work but its very much trial and error. Did the magic work when you got him?

Calmers can and do work but it's very dependent on the horse. Magnesium based calmers work on horses that have a magnesium deficiency. Magic helped my mare, but atcually sent my gelding nuts. If I were to use a calmer I'd probably look at valerian.

I can't remember to be honest I think it possibly did..I'm talking 5 years ago!!
