I am an experienced rider, I have done many hunter trials, evented, did pony club, show jumping competition and now I want to become a jockey, I ride out at a trainers racing yard every Saturday and ride between 3-5 lots every Saturday, this is all just on gallops or straights no jumping. I looked at going to the RACE academy in Ireland as I'm from Ireland but I want to become a national hunt jockey. I wanted to start off my career in race but I am 9st10lb and 5ft9( I can lose weight easily) and you must be 9stone to get into race. I've been trying to find a course 3 months longest that will be residential and will teach you how to become a jockey. Any tips in courses that would suit me? No longer that 4 months and can be anywhere in the EU, thanks 😊
