Hiya! I'm new here and looking to get a female Bengal kitten,

I'm after alot of advice as possible please !

E.g. .
Is there a bengal cat "family history" "lineage" that I should try and consider looking for ?

What is the best food to feed them on ?

Best pet insurance?

Do you guys and girls let your Bengals freeroam ?
(Not overly keen on that)
Do people take them for walks/ harness them and leash them? I do have a reasonable size garden that I will cover if that's what is required to allow the cat to have a outside area.

Are they happy being indoor cats with access to garden ? And more then happy to leash walk and take them anywhere with me ?

Type of toys ?

Although I don't have a dog , my parents do.. do they get along with dogs ?

I believe bengals are a particularly social breed, and so it’s best to get a pair of kittens or similar aged young cats, to keep each other happy and stimulated. A desexed boy/girl pairing would be better than 2 girls.

In my experience Bengals come in two types - so friendly that you might open your bag at work and find them purring up at you or so unfriendly that they seem to hate you! Very beautiful cats though and we have quite a few who come to stay with us at the cattery.

There is a commercial brand of high quality fresh cat food, called KatKin. Look up their social media page. There's a member on there with a Bengal, who is owned by a Bengal female. Check it out - it gives a good idea what life with one might entail!
