I've seen various people express concerns about the horses in Ukraine and while many of you may not know about the FB group Sh1tEventersUnite. (Or those who do, may not like it!) They did excellent fund raising work for the horses caught in the devastating floods in Australia last year.

They have now launched an appeal for the Ukrainian horses.

Have a read of the following for further info.....

Evenin' All. Its Wednesday and MARCH already so time for an update.

As you all know, we are mainly here for a good laugh, BUT... when folks are in trouble we like to do our bit to help.... Last year it was the Aussie floods, (sorry to see you guys having issues again..??) This time, as we are all painfully aware, our thoughts are with the people and animals of the Ukraine.

We have teamed up with Worldwide Vets who are raising money to get horses out of danger, initially by providing fuel and transport, and in the coming weeks they'll be providing feed for those rescued. The first lot of hay has been sent out in the past few hours.

Here's how you can help.

We have set up a new GoFundMe where you can chip in any amount, even a pound, please don't underestimate how that adds up, it ALL makes a difference.

All our merch sales will also now go towards this new cause for the time being. we have added some new bumper stickers for sale in the shop....so go get them!! Lots of them!!

I know a lot of us feel saddened by current events, and many many of us want to help in any way we can, so please do look up Worldwide Vets to see what they're doing, and help.us to help them reach their goal ASAP.

Rest assured SEU will take ZERO percentage on this, we have a huge reach and we like to put it to good use when we can.

Please interact with this post (just even a like) to keep it high up in the news feed and help spread the word ....

Meanwhile there is a Facebook page 'Help Ukrainian Horses' based out of Poland, where many. many Europeans are offering help to horses and their owners with offers of stabling, transport, accommodation etc both for the immediate short term and for the long term. They are all making their offers FREE! Sadly the UK is too far to be offering practical help in this way at present and specific fundraising does need to be checked that the money is going to the appropriate cause through expert organisers. There are many hoops to be jumped through, not least having all the horses passports and health papers.
