I am in the process of advertising my horse for sale, she is as follows:
15.3hh TBx Trakehener 7 yr old dark bay mare,
been in the top 3 every time out unaffliated dressage inc winning first elementary, 6 BD points in only 2 outings, won first BD prelim( best score in open and restricted sections).
3 well balanced paces, light snaffle mouth at all time, responsive but not sharp to ride( a real little schoolmistress!) , started lateral work and progressing quickly.Would easily go Medium and beyond.
Snaffle mouthed at all times, safe to canter out hacking in groups ect. Hacks alone and in company- really good in all traffic.
Started jumping and is jumping coloured courses of 2ft plus with fillers- never had a pole down in almost a year.
Great in the stable, good to shoe, hack, clip, box etc.
Lives in or out.
She is a lovely horse to own and ride.

How much?

But she will crib at feed time without a miricle collar( the collar stops in totally- she tries once and gives up!)

Now how much?

I have had her advertised for a while but think I may have her over priced.
This is her:

She is a little overbent here as it was very wet! This was her first elementary that we won

Thanks!

I would say £6k but then I dont have issues with horses with vices I would much rather have a genuine nice horse with a vice then a nappy nutter with no vices so I would not change the price as a consequence of the vice.

I expect you will get a lot of replies from people who would not touch a horse with a vice and value your horse at £2k.

I think it is just a case of getting the right person.

are you in a hurry to sell is the question if not dont worry about the vice and I wouldnt change my price.

go on then how much were you asking for her

I have her advertised for £6.5k ono (would have put her nearer £8-£10k without the vice as she is the easiest horse in the world to ride!(and actually quite talented!!)

Thanks for the reply!
Nice to see I am not far off but I know what you mean about it would put some people off.

She looks lovely and without the vice £7k with it perhaps £3.5K As said some people can out up with it others can't

i have always heard the rule of thumb for this type of vice is 1/2 price, it is classed as a technical unsoundness. But if she is open to vet, i would say that a vet would explain to someone that whilst this is the case it will not affect her ability or health. i would probably knock about 1/3 off and see if you get anything (you then have the option of negotiating on price)
