Hemp bedding

Anyone use this? If so what brand? Thinking about going onto it, only prob I have is the deep littering! Is it clean doing this? One of my boys is really messy and kicks his bed about everywhere! Should I avoid this type of bedding or would I cope?!

yes.....wonderful stuff...i use Hemcore far more absorbant that Aubiose and creates a more solid base

it shouldnt matter that your boy is messy so long as you get the base good and strong and keep the bedding on top deep enough that he digs that up rather than the base and add water to the bed each time you put a new bale in

deep bedding on Hemcore is clean etc my bed is never wet on the surface and never smells

Another vote for Hemcore. Had a very wet large horse on four months box rest with laminitis and it was excellent.

Had heard they had gone bust but that someone was hoping to take them over.

Loved hemcore- had a large horse with advanced cushings on it- no problems

(advanced cushings i.e. he drank large amounts of water like a field water butt a night= an awful lot of wee)
