Had a fantastic walk today in Knettishall but we got our feet a bit wet at the end!

One of the Konig ponies that live onsite - these little toughies have been out in all the weather and as you can see they look none the worse for it

Henry looking very leggy - now he's been clipped I think you can tell that he's lost weight while it's been so cold

First retrieve of the day

Later on - the first time he's ever retrieved from cover like this

Down to the river - normally the water is a good 6 feet below the level of the path

Not that Henry was deterred

This is normally a wood - not a swamp

This is where we had to turn back - there's normally a gully here about 5-6ft deep, you can see the path going in and coming back out.... no way round!

Got rather wet feet here as I had to cross the path

Wow! Looks an awesome place. You and Henry looked like you had fun.

No idea, after having owned Henry for a year, my sense of smell has given up the ghost!

He looks like he could win the canine version of "Biggest loser". Very trim now.

Thank you guys

I was very proud of him today, he was working away like a trooper! Am now looking into finding a suitable gundog class for us to join (where I expect they'll tell me I've done it all wrong, but never mind...)

He was really peeved Cayla, he'd just been told off for getting up and wandering off the first time I tried so we were not best friends at that point

He's almost a little bit too lean now, you can feel his ribs and spine a bit too well for my liking! But it won't do him any harm and he is being fed a bit extra now to keep him where he is, or maybe just half a kilo heavier.
