No he is NOT 'one of those poodle spaniels', as the bloke on our walk today asked

Nor does he appreciate being called a 'funny looking thing' by the behaviourist, or a 'fancy spaniel' by another bloke on another walk

When he is quite clearly a roughy toughy retrieving, swimming spaniel through and through!

Brings back memories. I had no end of people ask me if Jasper was a poodle, because his coat was so thick and went curly as it grew longer. How on Earth people can think a Cocker Spaniel looks like a poodle is beyond me! I am incensed on your behalf.

Henry is a super example of a show bred Cocker, cheekiness included.

GH, it was terrible, I just went through a hedge and my tail went all spikey and every time I wagged it I prickled myself

The human is a rubbish hairdresser as well, it looks like it got run over by a lawnmower

Bless the plume. Jasper never used to get hair pluming on the top of the tail. His was just cut like a scimitar underneath.

I still don't think they look like poodles....poor Henry!
