I was just wondering if anyone else's horse is as precious as mine about going out or being ridden in the rain?

When ridden in the arena, you have to put on a lot of leg on and ride quite aggressively forward to keep her from wriggling around and turning her butt to the wind. It's a bit of a fight the whole time. This is a horse who is -- in good weather -- a soft and pleasant ride. On a hack, she's smart enough to know that she has to get on with it but will have her head down and be angrily chomping on the bit.

Last year, one time the rain -- a heavy squall -- came in after our ride. I tried to lead her back to her field after untacking, grooming, and putting on her rain sheet. She planted her feet and refused to leave the barn until the squall stopped.

She's only become like this since moving to Scotland. Not helpful! Especially as the barn doesn't have an indoor arena at the moment.
