what do you want to know.....

You could write about the discussion on passive leadership.

This is where as you know in a herd there will be a dominant horse. Even though this horse is dominant it doesn't mean it is the herd leader as the herd are actually frightened of it.

A passive leader is a quiet and consistent member of the herd who the others choose to follow for food and water.

He is a leader but not in the sense of being a bully, the horses choose him as a leader rather than dominance being forced upon them.

This ties in with the human and equine relationship, that to gain your horses trust "passive leadership"as in being trustworthy and consistent everyday and your horse will choose you as the leader.
Rather than you forcing yourself upon him, horses like to have options

Hope this helps

I want to know about the structure of the herd and the life they lead. I read that on a natural horsemanship site.. seemed to make complete sense.
Thankyou for your time

Your welcome.

Contrary to popular belief they actually lead a quiet lifestyle as nature programs always show them as stallions fighting. The the mare being the herd leader and the stallion, living on the edge.
You know about bachelour groups and things don't you?
