Well... Safe to say I am absolutely shattered!
Today started off ridiculously wet, wading through puddles while dragging/carrying my suitcase was not fun!
I saw that me and the other non-jumping girl, A, were down to jump! We were both very happy, and I was on Bonnie
We started to groom and get ready, when we were then told that no, we weren't riding in the jump lesson, we were going over a few jumps later on. This was fine, had a good time watching the lesson, just wish they had actually told us instead of assuming we knew.
Off we toddled to set up the jumps, then back up to the yard. Then, as we all sat in the boot room and had lunch, I phoned my mum and dad, and got everyone to shout hello to them
Then, it was time for people to get ready and warm up. Me and A watched and cheered until Rider Number 9, then helped each other tack up and we got ready. Eventually, we were told to go get our ponies. Had a difficult warm up on B, jumped a few cross poles, got shouted at a lot... Then, I had to go in...
Well, I thought we were just doing a few small jumps that theyd put down for us, but no, theyd put down the whole course!
I was c*apping myself at this point, but in I went all the same.
Oh. My. God! I did it! I actually jumped a COURSE!!!
Bonnie was amazing (and forgiving!) as usual. I didnt know the order, so just had lots of 'That pink one! Then that blue one! GREEN! JUMP THE GREEN ONE!'
Bonnie was jumping HUGE and I found it difficult to stick with her. I did eventually come off, after she somehow manged to jump the red fence from a standstill. I came forwards onto her lovely neck, my feet kindly got out of the stirrups and I gripped onto her neck as she slid to a stop. I managed to slide round her neck and land on my feet! I took a bow, to applause from my friends (!) and got a leg up. I somehow managed to finish the course without decking it again!
It was so lovely having all my fellow pony-weekers cheering me on! I dont think I couldve had a bigger grin as I rode B back up to the yard

There was a professional photographer on site, so when the pictures are up, I'll post links! I will also scan my dressage test in, and guess what?
I GOT 50.90 %!! And I wasnt eliminated!!

Overall, this week has been a definite challenge. Ive really struggled with some parts, and found others easier, but ive had so much fun, made tons of friends, and really showed the yard (and myself) just what I can do when I try!
Thank you all for reading my reports, I find it really helpful to type out what Ive done that day, and thank you for putting up with all my questions!
Ive learnt its not the rozzie that matters, nor how well you place. What matters is how hard you try, and how hard your horse tries. Dawi and Bonnie worked their socks off this week, and did so so well, and I am incredibly proud of them. I didnt place at all, in anything, but I know I tried my best, and so did the horses. Next year Ill be doing all three phases, and I hope that I learn as much as I have this week.
Haribo Starmix if you got through all of that!
