Cow horses generally are very good herders they have to know to follow the every move of the cow. I’d say many are quite high up in the social ladder!

Unfortunately I can't find it but on FB a while ago was a video of a mule reversing his wagon round a corner into a tight space in a barn by himself. I was well impressed, I couldn't have backed it in there.
