We moved to a new much nicer calmer yard last weekend which I thought would be wonderful. Now my very calm, can literally get hit in the face by van wing mirror and not freak (yes this did happen), pony found the whole thing very stressful which took me completely by surprise to be honest as he's never bothered by anything! But he seems to have settled down except he's suddenly lost all his manners when it comes to me going in his stable. Normally I say back he steps back and there he stays till I say otherwise now he barges straight out! I use to be able to leave his door open and do whatever I was doing but now he just flys out. Am I over reacting and he's just settling in or have a made a mistake and he hates his new home?

My gelding does this everytime he is moved (actually he is worse but amounts to the same unsettled and rude). He'll settle down don't worry :)

Sounds like usual new home protest. Keep up with the discipline and routine, he will soon come to terms that this is now home and he has to lump it. At least his mum is with him... :)

He's just lost and probably trying to rush out to somewhere familiar, just help him through this time, he will soon be back to his usually lovely self, my horse took 6 mths to be really comfortable in every field and every part of his new home! X
