am i right in thinking these are the big rectangular and round bales . does anyone have these and transport by trailer.i can get one in mine but will have to remove at the other end to my hay barn .do they come apart in sections and generally how many small bales are they the equivalent of and rough price guide please. i was quoted £75.

Paid £20 for these last year, took two in trailer and loaded/unloaded with a tractor loader. Know people who are paying £35 for straw ones this year

£75 seems rather expensive! We can get them around here for £45 delivered - but perhaps you are short of hay in your area?

However if you want them, you can move them without a tractor by using round wooden fence posts as a rolling road. They come apart in slices just like a little hay bale.

If at £75 it was a full Heston bale of good quality hay and equal to 20 generous bales of hay I would be happy to pay that... I am paying £5 for a small bale of hay, 20 of those would = £100 :)

At £45 - now that is a bargain :D

My heston bale was 21 strung small bales then strung into a large bale, makes it a lot easier to shift around!! :) I paid £105 on mates rates as it was £126 and rising into the winter. We transported it on a twin axle ifor flat bed :)

£45 is a mega bargin!!
