HGV Licence

Just a quick one... My HGV provisional licence paper work came through from the DVLA. It asks for my 'full drivers licence' to be enclosed. Does this mean the DVLA wants my paper counterpart as well as the photocard licence?

Yes, the photocard is only half the licence. The paper counterpart says on the top that the two should be kept together, it holds all the important info such as points etc.

I thought so... a new paper counterpart will be required then! It's got lost in a house move somewhere between Suffolk, Shropshire, Surrey and Lincolnshire...!

Before you send any part of it to DVLA, photocopy all aspects of it. It isnt unknown for peoples licences to come back with missing entitlements when reissued, and DVLA dont honour them eg motorbike riders having to retake whole motorbike test costing £00s... :-(
