I've been looking at getting a box as at the moment I have to hire whenever we go out. Bud is a 16.2hh 610kg ID x and I passed my test in 2010. 3.5 tonnes in my budget seem to have a payload of 900kg, and I Just think this is cutting it a bit fine for him, tack, me, petrol, water for the day, haynets etc.
I don't really want to go down the trailer training route as couldn't warrant a 4x4 for the 400 miles I drive a week and don't have enough parking for 2 cars but can keep a lorry at the yard.
Has anyone done their HGV training in Kent? Who did you use, how did you find them and has anyone got a Rough idea of what I need to do before lessons? As in do you need to get a provisional like you do with a car before you start your lessons? Numpty questions but I haven't got a clue!
