The most sensible and balanced thing I have read on the subject ever. Go and get a copy of HH and read.He is not anti natural horsemanship which he sees as being essentially common sense. He is against the very commercial marketing of it as the instant answer to everything.

i shall be reading it tonight - had a quick glance this morning before i left the house but post had only just arrived so i couldnt get a proper look as i was late for work.

Sounds like he shares the same views as the vast majority of HHO'ers then

Apparently there had been chatroom debates regarding his use of a whip in a demo or something, which got him thinking about the subject.

I especially liked his description of whip/spur use as 'motivators'.

And for the record I thought it was good and put acroos the point well and I agree with him.

I couldn't agree more, and was wondering how many milliseconds it would take for someone to post their view on here. Hold tight and wait for the opposition from, dare I say it, the tree-huggers!
