I expect that Bodo is still sleeping his hangover off after celebrating being a big swot and passing his exams, so it's Henry here!

This week I got a real job at last - finally my special talents are recognised. The humans where me and my human work needed a special lead rope for a demonstration - my human said it had to be really manky, and he only knew one dog for the job - me! So now I am Chief Leadrope Mankifier, and I am going to have business cards, and a name badge

However now my human is malingering, frankly. On Friday she was doing lots of things at once and she managed to stub her toe on a wall and break it. I knew she'd done it because she made a really high squaky noise and said 'blugger' and 'flup, flup, flup' and 'shetlandy death' a LOT, so I went to see if I could help. I did help by taking her slipper away into my crate but she was very ungrateful and took it off me again

So we didn't go to work that day, instead I had a boring morning, then we went for a walk to the shop. Well she called it a walk, but it was sooooo sloooooooow that humans older than the oldest people I have ever seen kept walking past us. I was so embarrassed to be seen with the human when she was hobbling so much. Luckily that afternoon the nice human that walks me sometimes took me out instead. I like walks with him because he is far less firm than my human, so I get to be really bad, and my human is never there to stop me

Although I am bit worried because he is writing a book, and if I am in it my human will know what I get up to

Then yesterday was even worse - I got taken to the groomers! So then I lost all my lovely smell I had been working so hard on, and smelt like a tarts boudoir instead

The human's parents had come to see us, they took us to the pub for dinner. They all had steak and I got one chip! Then the Big Human, who is my human's step-dad, took me for a walk. I like the Big Human but he doesn't quite know his own strength, if I pull on the lead with my human she pulls back, and I stop eventully but if the Big Human does the same I end up facing in the opposite direction

Then today, my human has been lazy all day, so me and book writing human went for a walk instead.

I hope my human stops hobbling about soon, she is no fun at the moment. I am curled up very close to her to try and give her poorly paw healing vibes.

Hi there Matty dog here. Me, Sage and Dexter have had a quiet and VERY wet week. Mum keeps dragging us out with her while she does the big 4 leggeds 'cos she says we need the fresh air. But it's cold and wet and me and Sage hate it. Dexter, being the young thing he is and a man, stands in the wet stuff getting soaked. Me and Sage sneak into the stables and shiver in the shavings. Mum tell us to get out 'cos she can't do stuff with us in the way and then laughs at us when we end up with all the shavings stuck to us!! Oh well here's hoping for a drier week although I did hear Mum mention the V word so not looking forward to that.

we are sorry to hear of your human's temporary disability. We truly hope she feels better soon.
We've had a boring week, just the normal walks etc except for flyball training last night.
Jess was very brave as she heard those darned bangy flashy things just as she was going into the hall for training but she still managed to contain her fright and run very well. Mum took her cage with her so she could stay in the hall until all training had finished and she couldn't hear those horrid things.
Skye improved again, bless her.
And me? well I am a Lab so I am always good!

Bruce here........have just crawled out from under the bed covers to check that everyone is OK........the sky keeps exploding and I'm sure it is going to cave in soon .......... 3 nights and counting...........humans don't seem to understand that the world is ending.......... Mum dismisses it as' flupping fireworks', but she doesn't understand..........the end of the world is nigh..........if some of us are still here next week we can create a network of survivors.........

Hi Guys!

I've had such a fun weekend! Mum 'n' dad took me for a huuuuugggee walk yesterday in the hills where I saw lots of bunny things. I'm not allowed to chase bunny-things (we have a bunny-thing at home who is smelly)but I did find a bunny-house-in-the-ground. I must have been tricked into eating more by mum coz I got stuck!! Mum had to dig me out (dad was laughing too much

) then we went to the pub where I drowned my undignified escapades with a G&T...which *may* have been stolen from a lady who was a bit cross.

It's very cold today but Dad has been feeling unwell since we came back from the pub so he's been in bed (don't tell Mum but he lets me get under the duvet and we have a nap). I like Sundays!

Doddi here... it's so exciting, I've been to a beach, I didn't know that you could get so much water in one place, it was fab, and there was sand stuff, and I could run and run, and skid and then man human had a BALL!!! BALL BALL BALL so exciting, chase the ball, and he was very pleased with me because I kept running into the sea to get the ball, but then he wanted me to give it back so he could throw it again, how dumb! He is stoopid, he seems to think that I'm clever cos I can swim - does he now know about labradors? My female human gave me lots of praise but didn't want to cuddle me, she is obviously cruel and heartless, she would have loved my damp sandiness! The boy dogs were good, but that girl dog... well the word bitch springs to mind - she is nasty to me but I'm bigger than her now, and my mm says that as I'm going to be a sumo lab I'll be able to squash the nasty bitch-dog!

Only one problem wth the beach, the salt does sting...

Hello All,

I am not a very happy Otto tonight

The Tall ones said were going on an expedition today, so I made sure I got plenty of sleep last night, and woke up this morning ready for anything. Only to find the Tall one in a fowl mood (as far as I could see she wasn't covered in feathers and clucking though!) she did have funny dark circles round her eyes though and instead of going on an expedition, she went back to bed!!
Apparently we are postponing it until next week, but aren't the Postmen on strike??

Once the Tall one resurfaced, we went to the Forest of Dean (It's ok, I think the Tall Ones know Dean, he doesn't seem to mind us going in his Forest) and I had lots of fun, although there were lots of grumpy dogs around so I had to go on my lead lots. Apparently there are Wild Boar in the woods, so the Tall one was extra strict about me going exploring

All I know is that those stinky creatures that live next door must be friends with Dean too, 'cos it smelt just like them in the Forest.

My Uncle Ghillie is scared of those banging things too, which is really silly 'cos they sound just like gunshot to me, and Guns mean tasty dead things! Although I'm not sure how they see the birds in the dark

must be why they make the sky light up at the same time...

Evening all!!

Well we have had a really bad week too!!

Mum has been in bed all week with this swine flu stuff - its pants!!

She just lazed around in bed moaning that it hurt but we had to sit around with her - bah!!

St Sweep just curled up for extra cuddles - suck up

- but I just got fidgety! Then a miracle happened Mums sister comes up in the morning to feed her house and ponios so she came and let me out so I could run around with my lab cousin Emma! I only dot in trouble a couple of times

- will some one explain to me exactly what is wrong with petrified hare before breakfast??

and me and Em's kept knocking each other over as we were being a bit rough!!

Anyway the good news is that mum is finally mended so 2 walks a day are back - life is worth living again!!

And as for those lights in the sky that bang - well I am dead hard and spent last night barking at the sky as I came through the backdoor backwards!!

Bonio for anyone??

I'm not scared of bangy bangy things as long as the human is there, she's not worried so I'm not going to worry either

My human says thank you for the toe wishes, she was doing really well and not even hobbling that much but then she went and stubbed it in the same place again, I was very impressed with how little she squeaked though. I think she is turning well 'ard like wot I am

Oh well, back to work tomorrow (unless I can get her to break something else..... hmmmmmmm.....)

Hello everyone,
Well I think my human has had a bit of a strange turn today. We went off in the car and met my friend Buddy and his human and some other dogs and humans I hadn't met before, and we set off on a walk over the hills we have been up before. We had a nice walk but this was where the human went a bit funny, because we didn't stop walking, we kept going nearly all day. We walked by some big black and white things that were running up and down the fence and making a strange noise, and then I thought we were going to go in the field and play with them but the humans stopped and had a big talk and then we turned round and walked back again and went round a lot more fields. Now I like my walks but I have to say I was very pleased to get back to my cage in the thing on wheels, and now I have had my tea if you will excuse me I am going to have a big sleep cos I am very tired.

Ps. Max my human is funny about petrified things as well, I rolled in a very old dead rabbit the other day, it smelt lovely, and she got all shouty and cross.
