Hope you've all had a good week of dieting....mine has been very stressful as I'm still working out what size the piggy paddock should be, and what to supplement the limited grass supply with. Have decided on soaked hay if needed, and a good meal of Happy Hoof in the evening so he doesn't go out hungry.

On Friday night I had to more than double the size of the piggypaddock as it was getting churned up with all the rain, so he'd had some extra grass before his weigh-in.

Last week: 538 kg

Add your updates everyone!

OK Whisk had most of the week off because he lost a shoe and part of his hoof so didn't want to ride even in the school. However he was 702kg and now he is 688kg. Coming off slowly but surely!! No pics as yet but coming soon. Well done Bex. (That weight loss is in a fortnight... I'm not starving him to death!!)

I have had a crisis this evening, because the piggy paddock is now a mud bath. So I tried the muzzle again and stuck him back out in his normal field with his mate. After an hour of spying on him and him not working out how to eat (he has worn it on two separate ocassions for 6 hrs each and not managed to eat) I was at a loss! Then, all of a sudden he started grazing! So, he's out wearing it, and I'll check on him in the morning.

well done bex you can really see and difference in the pix !!!!

my ponys face got a little rubbed this week by her muzzle so she has had a few days break from it and ive been applying skin hardening cream.

fine and dandy about what you said about big belly dont forget in the evening they will look worse after a day out o nthe grass the will be bloated, i cant even get my horses girth done up if i try to ride her straight off the field i have to let her bloat off for an hour x

Thanks, I had to put my pony out in a field full of grass again yesterday as his piggy paddock was turning into a mud bath, so I'm trying the muzzle again and he's worked out how to graze at last! It is rubbing though, I'm going to get some sheepskin stuff to attach to it.
