Hi guys

Thought I'd ask for some of those amazing HHO good luck vibes for my chocolate lab, Daisy, who is having an operation today to remove a fibrosarcoma from her mouth. :(

The vet is confident he can cure her but it can't hurt for some extra insurance can it?!

Thanks :)

Thanks everyone, just had a chat with the vet, he was happy with the way the op went. He didn't have to take as many teeth as he thought he would & tho there is a slight deviation on the right hand side of her nose he said unless you were looking for it you wouldn't know. The x-ray was clear & due to the tumour being a fibrosarcoma it was relatively easy to see the mass in it's entirety so he's quite confident they have removed it all & just enough healthy tissue but he is sending it away to the pathologist to obtain a definate result - he is expecting it to be a total removal result!

I am so relieved! :D :D :D :D

He said bless her she's a giddy little thing & was getting quite worked up when they gave the anaesthetic so he was concerned it would mean a rocky recovery for her - as a precaution they gave her a bit of sedation when they brought her round & she's comfortable & calm in the recovery area - she'll be home tonight for tea, hugs & a gentle walk if she's up for it!

Oh bless her, but I wouldn't count on a walk, she might come out of there like a bat out of hell but I bet she'll be zonked the minute she sits down :)

I think you might be right! ;) The vet said that if she's up for it we can take her for 15/20 mins gentle walk as it'll aid recovery & get bowels moving etc so hopefully she'll perk up a bit & we'll take her before bed.

Good news, bet you are relieved. Like CC my experience is that they bounce out of the vets after a GA , running on adrenalin I think, then once they are home they zonk and are out of it till the next day.:p

Thanks - those HHO vibes have done the job again!

I think she probably will want to sleep, bless her, she'll get whatever she wants this evening! She can sleep for England on a good day! :D

Fantastic news I was just coming in to send you good vibes! :)
She'll be back on her feet in no time at all! And she'll milk it for the next few weeks too! ;)

Thanks! :)

She definately will milk it, especially with hubby & his Dad! They're big softies with her most of the time anyway, she has them wrapped round her paw!

This must be what winning the lottery feels like!

Missed this in time for vibes but glad it went well. Bet you can't wait to get daisy home now :)

No I really can't! Have been next to useless at work this morning & doesn't look like getting any better this afternoon as now I'm just willing the clock to 5pm!!!!!! :D
