Hello everyone :) I'm Angie from Kent. H&H seems like a great & knowledgeable community to be part of (some of your posts have already helped me loads!) so thought i would register! Had my first riding lesson today after being out of action for nearly 8 years..... realised i have so much work to do but will all be worth it. Loved being back in the saddle & in lessons.

Hi, pleased to hear that you've found the forum helpful. Hope you don't ache too much tomorrow after using muscles that haven't been used for a while!

Have you been out nurturing rug rats or studying/travelling?

Hi Peregrine thanks for the hello :) a bit of both lack of funds, having young children to look after and studying to start my business is why i think i got overwhelmed and had to give up my loan pony but after riding in Cyprus this year i got my girls straight into riding lessons when we got back and couldn't resist booking myself in. Didn't realise how much i missed it and kind of sad i didn't realise earlier haha

oh yes the best!! My goal is to get confident enough again and up my skill from my previous time in the saddle so i can share or loan again and possibly as a long term goal to have a new horsey family member one day!

Hi Angie and welcome :) i got my first horse at 43 and my OH learnt to ride at 47 and bought his own horse, we have some great rides together , it's never too late so it's great that you and your girls are experiencing something amazing together, you just need your OH to join as well now, it makes it so much easier when you spend all his money on them :D
hope you enjoy it on here, there are some really nice people full of great advice. x

I got him out on a hack on holiday and once in the past on my loan pony but he was not impressed haha I think would be a battle to get him riding with me though haha I really hope my girls continue to love riding so we can eventually hack out together and maybe when they get older and i start feeling that they don't really want to hang out with mum anymore i will get my own horse hahaha i wish it was the OH money but unfortunately i will be funding the habit myself :( haha
