Hi from Newforestfan!

Hi she's a Willoway mare. I had a nf gelding before and he was fab so thought I'd get another! Possibly looking to breed from her ☺️
 
Thought there would be Peter Piper in her breeding. :)

I have Bakeburn Bandit, Millersford Strawberry Girl, Tiptoe Quickstep, Falconers Fireberry, Mockbeggar Oakstorm, Falconers Foxdance and Bellshat Heidi.
 
Some of them run out on the forest and others will be joining them. I've shown 4 of them in-hand and only one under saddle so far. Flicka has only just done her 1st dressage under saddle and will be doing more of that this season.

I like showing in-hand, less work! LOL

One of mine is a NF too, Backley Touch of Gold, by Willoway Double Gold, out of the late Bakeburn Harmony. I kept him as a licensed stallion until he was 6 but he didn't cope well competing as an entire - too much for him unfortunately

I show him, it's his only job :)
 
There's a northern supporters group for NF. How up north are you? I used to be in Warwickshire area then managed to escape and move here, a few miles from the forest. :)

Crackerz, your boy is lovely. I did wonder what his breeding was when you posted a pic of him the other day. Nothing on the ground from him either.
 
I have a forester too. He is very clever, I think they are an intelligent, sensitive breed which can mean they are quirky.

Teaching him new things can be interesting as we have to be quite careful as he picks up things very quickly including learning how to avoid doing things he does not want to do so sometimes he ends up training me! However if he does want to do something he can do it very well. We have been doing turn on the forehand and he went from not want to do it a few months ago to now offering it spontaneously and doing it really well. He can be quite funny sometimes, it almost as if once he gets good at doing something he wants to do it all the time.

He is also a very expressive but gentle pony and he soon lets people know what he wants, which is normally more food!

Thank you :) No, I planned only to breed if he could prove himself undersaddle, which, whilst he has won all sorts, he wasn't what i would class as level headed away from home to run on any longer as an entire! So off they came.
I still love him though, he's going to be campaigning the Novice Workers this year....
