Hi, just popping in to introduce myself! Have had my pony since July, he's adorable. Getting through some confidence (me) issues, and some napping issues with him, but we are getting there!

Welcome!
You lucky thing - you do realise that you have to give more info than 'new pony', and that someone will be along anytime now to tell you that photos are obligatory?
Wishing you and your pony speedy progress, enjoy!

Welcome! Happy new pony, do share photos! Patience is the most important things, can take a long time to get used to each other in a new relationship. x

Ha, thank you teacups! I can't put photo's up at the moment (at work!) but will later on! He's a 7 year old cob type, 13.3 very chunky monkey; I've gone small because of confidence issues, but he's a handfull alright!

Thank you! Yes, we are taking it softly softly! Looking forward to a hack tomorrow, only about my 3rd since having him!! Been bonding/grooming/bonding/grooming a lot :)

Look forward to the photos, excellent news.
People are pretty helpful on the whole on this forum, if you want some different perspectives/ideas or have questions. I don't class myself as very experienced at all so no advice from me! Confidence is a hard one - are you getting it back? Ponies can be so stubborn (and strong..). 13.3 is nice and near the ground <g>

Yes, confidence coming back, just taking it all nice and slowly; he comes to me now and what a special feeling :) I'm lucky that my daughter has a mare so we hack out together. Unfortunately Mare & my boy are in love and hate being separated, so we alternate taking them out alone. Bits of napping, but getting better as the weeks progress!!

Hello and welcome. The easiest way to post pics is to create a photobucket account. Upload your pics from there and copy and paste the link (the IMG code one) into your post. If that's as clear as mud, Faracat is the person to ask! She helped me. :)

Hacked out on the boy this morning, only one big scary moment, a dog running and barking in it's garden, we ended up having a little canter up the road; but he stopped and I stayed on, so all good!! Was a good boy on the whole, bless him!

Excellent and well done both of you. <g>
Pesky dogs - they will get enthusiastic and say hello to passing horses. Hopefully you can work on it as a potential despooking exercise?

Oh, and curses to photobucket & IMG codes: it always seems to fox people and then causes delays for all of us who would like to see those photos! Crossing fingers that you work it out.

Thank you Teacups, yes good idea for despooking excercise! We seem to be 'spooked' all round the hack haha! He's not that bad really, he's a good boy. Can't do photos yet, will have to have a go over the weekend, then you can see his gorgeousness :)
