Hello, just wanted to introduce myself. I use these Forums constantly as a means of reference but would like some advice, so will post in The Tack Room.
A bit about my little herd - I've got two coloured girls, 15.1 cob x mum and her gentle yearling filly who is now 17 months and seems to have just learnt to buck ;) !! It's amazing watching her copy her fieldmate though, they are just like children! I'm a novice youngster owner but have had her from birth and am learning very quickly! I've had her mum for six years, ridden her for four of those, and she's my first horse as I'm a very late learner (she was my 40th birthday present to myself!). She's definitely a horse in a million although she's a typical grumpy old mare who likes her space! I didn't mean to have two but was told I might never ride mine again (luckily all is fine) so have now ended up with her daughter as well who will hopefully be my grow old horse :) fingers crossed.

Thanks! xxx

Your horses sound great :) lovely to have a foal from a favourite mare. Bringing on a youngster when you also have an older more established horse to ride is a nice way to do it, I find. You can have a peaceful easy ride after dealing with a youngster who has thrown you some challenges. Having a nanny horse for a friend to ride with you whilst you ride the youngster on the first few hacks is useful too. I wish you the best of luck with both of them.

Thank you for your lovely reply! I hope so, I know it's going to be hard work and I shall be investing in a good body protector and some experienced help definitely! :)
