Does anyone recommend any high vis brushing boots that are breathable. I've tried Uhlan but they are far too long, he's got a fairly short cannon bone it seems! I ride a lot in the mornings or late afternoon so would like us to be a bit more visible and have soemthing on his legs! Any photos your hi viz gear also would be fab to see!

Would wraps work instead of brushing boots or do you want actual boots.

I don't use boots really and wraps haven't really worked with fluffy legs so I aim to just cover the rest of her (she has a hi Viz breastplate as well).

Could you put hi-vis wraps on your normal boots if you have ones you usually use? I have light weight breathable wraps but I don’t currently use boots.

I only like the woofwear boots - they seem to last - cheapy wraps lose their velcro and just fall off.... lot of other things to look at - breastplate, bonnet, rein covers...

@tda It is mesh yes, I didn't want anything waterproof or fleece as she's unclipped and fluffy. I don't think she sweats any more with it on compared to off. She's surprisingly unsweaty really. It's from Dark horse equestrian.

If your horse already has boots could you buy some high viz tape to attach? There’s lots on Amazon and much cheaper than buying hi viz boots
Love a DIY option I made my own high Viz noseband from paracord and hat band from a dog collar. Much cheaper.

You can buy the flashing arm bands on ebay. Exercise sheet has two silicone flasing lights attached to the back of it also from ebay. Rider (me) is wearing Polite Notice Tabard. Hi viz hat strap. Yes I look like a flashing Xmas tree. Do I care. No!

I used silicone led flashing armbands with nylon dog collars threaded through the slots. White at the front, red at the back. Buckling the collar round the leg means you don't lose them. Smaller bicycle lights are great to clip to breastplate, headband, and will also clip through a plaited tail. The more the merrier!

I've never hacked one of mine out without the Westropp knee & brushing boots in one so the flashing leg bands are an essential bit of kit for me!

Equlibrium have lightweight hi viz boots. They rub my pink skinned horse though even though the fit.

I'm sooo close to buying this pair for my guy. I'm holding out for the green hi-viz pair but I can't find them for a reasonable price to ship to me here in Germany. I'm not a pink girl 😝

But I am a bit hesitant as I have used the Equilibrium Tri-Zones on him in the past, albeit many moons ago, and they did rub him despite fitting. I've had this problem with other boot brands in the past where the lip at the top (for lack of a better term, haha!) rubs on his tendon sheath. Luckily the Equilibrium Stretch & Flex flatwork wraps don't bother him and these are his everyday pair. I love how light and breathable Equilibrium boots are so I'm willing to try again!
