I drove through a small market town today and saw a Hi Viz. The Hi Viz was being worn by a small terrier type dog following his mistress riding a horse. The dog was following said horse through traffic (not heavy)on a main road and I was impressed. My dog would be lurching through all sorts of smells and couldn't be trusted off the lead yet here he was , his little legs following horse & rider calmly & efficiently, what a lovely relationship they must have.

I don't suppose the rider/horse had hi-vis on???!!!

I wish my dog could be trusted to do that even when I am on foot, I've got no chance if I was on the horse!!!

we went on a lovely ride today, it was through just woods, bridleways and through an old quarry, absoulutly beautiful!

we took the dog but we have a fast main road to get to it only about a 4 min walk today it was very foggy, so off we set off in a full armour of hi viz i walked behind with friends dog on lead on main road on slowed down traffic ect but soon as we hit bit off roading i climbed on and off we went

dogs loves going on these rides although see doesnt get ot go often as we usually just hack on roads. she is so well behaved she can go ahead, wander find small detors but soon as her own say "come in a heel" shes straight in heel and doesnt move untill told too

Still should be on a lead if on a road, regardless of how well behaved.
My old collie will follow an invisible lead, you can tie a bit of cotton on his collar and he walks so close to heel he leaves slack and doesn't break it, but he's on a lead if on the road.

(still smarting from the bloke who thinks its fine to let 2 unruly disobetient golden retreivers run down the road out of his sight and harass my daughter's (young) pony)
