... a 7 month old colt

We don't go near roads but use a bridle path that is quite densly populated with dog walkers, riders and cyclists at the weekends. Visibility on the path is quite good but he would be camoflauged from a distance.

last week I wasn't wearing any (:o naughty I know) although I was with somebody who was wearing a hi-viz vest. Cyclist's came up quite fast and I don't want him to start getting spooked.

I have my own vest but wanted something for my colt as well. He's not 100%happy wearing rugs (but we are working on it) although I can only find exercise sheets which need to be under a saddle. I've thought about boots but not sure how he would react and I wanted something quite visible!

Or do you think a vest on me and nothing on him is sufficient?

Any suggestions?

thanks for the suggestions :)

I did think about using a surcingle to hold an exercise sheet in place but I want to make sure he is happy with it before we venture out anywhere - don't want the potential to cause more accidents if he suddenly freaks out!

I like the headcollar for starters as I know he won't freak at that!

and the tail bandages and hat are good ideas - all good for his education as well. I think he would be quite happy to wear those :D
