Hi ya is it normal to enter 1 or 2 classes arena eventing?

Hi as the post says really is it normal to enter 1 or 2 classes arena eventing im looking at doing vale view and its soooo expensive I normally do 2 classes sj but i've you tubed a couple and they look quite long.

Last 1 i did in winter there was 22 fences in the ring!

I would only do 1 class

The courses at Vale View are really long, I'd just do one!

I've always done 2 at JAS which is 16 fences. If more than that I'd just do one.

Depends on the fitness of the horse and their attitude, and the height of the jumps. Some might get soured by 2 classes, I would think most wouldn't.
Many people wouldn't think twice about 2 or 3 smaller (less than1m) SJ classes in a day, and if each class has a jump off, that can easily be 15 jumping efforts at least per class, meaning 45 in total.

The courses at Eland are generally shorter and less twisty than VV, I'd probably be happy to do two there
