Hi! Thanks for approving me. I'm excited to be here after having lurked for a while 😆 I am mostly looking for advice on the riding schools in and around London. I was at Vauxhall City Farm and loved it but they're now shut until 2025 so I need someplace new to try.

These are all South London so I'm not sure how well they would suit you:

Wimbledon Village is a walk or short bus ride from the train station. They have some nice horses and you hack through the 'village' to their arena on the common.

Chessington Equestrian Centre is a short bus ride from Chessington North/Surbiton and then about 3/4 mile walk - their drive is long and unlit so not ideal for winter evenings.

Barnfield is a bus ride from Kingston station - I don't know anything about it other than location though.

A friend of mine rides at Lower Morden Equestrian Centre and likes it - not sure how to get there by bus/train though.

Ham House in Richmond is full and isn't taking adult riders at the moment.

Wildwoods (Headley/Epsom) and Silvermere (Cobham) are both really decent RS, but I don't know how you would get to them by public transport, same for Lomond.

Thanks for the recommendations, I am in South London so someplace accessible from south is ideal

I've heard Wimbledon is good but it's a bit out of budget I'm afraid.

Lower Morden would be too far but I will take a look at Chessington and Barnfield
