My jrt X collie had a few hiccups last night whilst we were sat watchin Hachi ( :( ) and I quickly booted him off the couch to the kitchen thinking he might be sick, but nothing, and then he had another episode this morning, lasting about 10mins, is this normal, can dogs get hiccups, or is it a sign of something else?

Thank you :D

Hen is wormed regularly - I think it's a sign of hiccupping, frankly. How would worms cause involuntary spasming of the diaphragm - any vets on here that could explain if there's a connection?

isn't it obvious? the worms are tickling the diaphragm making it spasm :)

in all seriousness... my puppy hiccups all the time! and she doesnt have worms. she often gets them when shes run around like a fool :)
